Rockford, IL July 2, 2026 — Rotary District 6420 is proud to announce a donation of $6,000.00 to the Northern Illinois Food Bank, directly supporting local families and individuals facing food insecurity. This contribution will help provide over 24,000 meals to neighbors across Winnebago County.
The donation was presented during a brief ceremony attended by District Governor, Tina Curtis, Immediate Past District Governor Melissa McCormick, and Jessica Stanley-Asselmeier, Director of Corporate & Foundation Giving for the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
“Rotary District 6420 is committed to serving our community and ensuring that no one goes hungry,” said District Governor Tina Curtis. “Through this partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, we are able to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our neighbors, particularly those struggling during these challenging times. The Northern Illinois Food Bank distributes food through a network of local pantries, shelters, and community organizations. Every dollar donated helps provide multiple meals, making contributions like this essential to the fight against hunger.
