ANNUAL COAT/NEW BLANKET DRIVE:

The Belvidere Bright Horizons Rotary Club will be starting its annual Coat/new blanket drive for the winter/Christmas season. The event works as follows

Coats, new or used, are collected for children of all ages, in conjunction with our local Salvation Army. The coats are then placed on racks and needy families are invited to the Salvation Army to pickup coats as needed. This is done sometime prior to Christmas.

For the new blanket drive, each member of the club is encouraged to purchase a new blanket(s), and after all blankets are collected, prior to Christmas, the blankets are given out to needy persons in the community.

All blankets and or coats will be collected or dropped off at the Fast Lane Threads in Belvidere.  If any district person(s) or clubs wish to participate in this endeavor, they can collect their blankets/coats and bring them to Belvidere or contact the club by e-mail and we will arrange to pick them up.
