The District 6420 Secretary Betty Clementz

Betty Clementz, a member of the Rock Falls Rotary Club since 1991, has served as President of her club from 1997-1998, Membership Chair, Public Relations Chair, Foundation Chair, and Bulletin Editor for the past 9 years. Betty has also been actively involved in Literacy activities both in her club and at the district level, serving as District Literacy Chair for three years. In the spring of 1999 Betty led the Group Study Exchange Team to France. She also served three years as Assistant Governor to the Area IV Clubs. She chaired the 2005 -2007 District Nominations Committee. She is presently a member of the District Public Relations Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of the 711 Club. Betty and her husband Tom are Paul Harris Fellows.
Betty is a retired teacher of French, having taught thirty years at Rock Falls High School and two years at Sauk Valley Community College. Presently she is working as a Professional Development Coordinator in the Whiteside Regional Office of Education. Her husband Tom is retired from Northwestern Steel and Wire and is self- employed. They are the parents of one daughter, and grandparents to her two children, who live in Huntley.
Volunteering in the hospital auxiliary, church, and for the American Cancer Society in Relay For Life, Daffodil Days, and as Regional Advocacy Chair fills her free time. She volunteered at the Chicago Rotary Centennial International Convention using her bilingual language skills.
