Bob is a member of the Oregon Rotary club, has had perfect attendance since joining in February of
1994. He has served on the club's board of directors from 1994-2001. He was club treasurer 1997-1999 and
was club President 1999-2000. Bob had been the bulletin editor for 7 years. Bob is a Paul Harris Fellow +4,
a sustaining member and a member and on the board of Paul Harris 711 club. His wife Linda is a Paul Harris
Fellow as well and now Bob is working on making his children and grandchildren Paul Harris Fellows as well.
Bob has been an Assistant Governor 200-2003. Bob has been the District Conference Registrar for 2001-2003.
Bob was a member of the Rotary International 2005 Convention Host Organization Committee for 3 years.
He has been on the Short Term Youth Exchange committee for two years and Chair of the District's
Technology committee two years. Bob and his wife Linda have hosted three Rotary youth exchange students.
Bob graduated from Sauk Valley College in 1968 with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Drafting
Technology. He then graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1972 as an Industrial Engineer. He
worked as a Design Engineer in a factory in Sterling from 1971-1979, where he invented and has patents on
several items. While working, he completed correspondence courses in Electrical Drafting, Color Television
Servicing and also classes in refrigeration. In 1979, he started a business of selling and servicing electronics
and appliances.
Bob and Linda have two adult children and two grandchildren.
