               Fred graduated from Millikin University in Decatur with a BS in Business and spent three years with Army

           Security Agency in Germany and England. He retired in 2001 after over 3 years with the American Red Cross.

                 The Rock Island Rotary club invited Fred to join Rotary in 9 where he moved through the chairs to serve as

           President in 1980-81. His primary involvement with the club has been in fund raising projects and with the Youth

           Exchange program on the club and district levels. Fred and Nancy have the distinction of being a four-week Rotary

           Summer Bus Tour host couple and a Summer Tour Director Couple. His club recognized him as their outstanding

           Rotarian in 1987.

                  Fred and Nancy are both Paul Harris Fellows and Benefactors and they are starting to honor their Children and

          grandchildren as Paul Harris Fellows. They are the parents of three and grandparents of 6. Together they enjoy being 

          grandparents, traveling and dancing. Fred loves the outdoors including his annual canoeing and fishing trip to Canada

          with a group of fellow Rotarians.
