District Simplified Grants
This grant utilizes up to 20% of our new DDF (District Designated Funds). It is an itemized and budgeted humanitarian goods & services for a local community or international project.
There is to be direct Rotarian involvement by assessing the needs, forming a committee, being a liaison with community leaders and beneficiaries with project promotion.
A final report is due on completion that includes a detailed description of the project, Statement about beneficiaries, description of Rotarian involvement and an itemized list of expenses.
Deadline for grant applications is September 15, 2009.
Deadline for final and completed reports is May 1, 2010.
Grant stewardship includes maintaining accounting records, an open separate bank account and keep receipts for at least 5 years. All expenditures must be must be within TRF (The Rotary Foundation) guidelines of:
· No donations to existing projects or other organizations.
· No contributions to other TRF programs.
The District Simplified Grants committee is to assist with distribution of funds and work with the District Foundation Chair to review expenditures and reports and most of all to keep the District Simplified Grant process organized and manageable.
