Area V Assistant Governor Jim Moran
Area V includes the Rotary Clubs:
Mendota, Sandwich and Plano

Jim is in his second year as an Assistant Governor. He joined the Sandwich Rotary Club in 2001 and served as President in 2003 – 2004. He is presently a member of the District Literacy Committee and served on the Costa Rica well installation crew.
He left the Army in 1962 as a First Lieutenant in the Anti Aircraft Artillery (Nike) with a brand new son and shortly joined Nalco Chemical..
He has retired from Nalco Chemical Co. after 35 years as Division Engineering Manager. The last five years for Latin American Division, prior to that he spent two years in Singapore in the same function for the Pacific Division. He spent his earlier years as production manager in the Clearing Industrial District Plant (Chicago) as Production Manager for the equipment group followed by 10 years in the Sugar Land, Texas Plant.
Jim enjoys the diverse cultures he has had the opportunity to meet and befriend and feels that that opportunity has served him well throughout his career and continues to be an asset in Rotary.
Jim and his wife Nancy live at Lake Holiday and have four grown children and five grandchildren.
Jim has served on the Board of Directors of the Lake Holiday Property Owners Association for the last two years and has been reelected for two more years.
He enjoys boating, building things and reading
