Area V Assistant Governor Jim Moran
Area V includes the Rotary Clubs:
Mendota, Sandwich and Plano

Jim is in his 4th year as an Assistant Governor.
He joined the Sandwich Rotary Club in 2001 and served as President in 2003-04. He is presently a member of the District Literacy, Volunteer and World Community Service Committees and served on the second Costa Rica Well installation team and just went back to Costa Rica in May 2009 to install another well.
He has attended the Rotary Thirsting to Serve seminars in Grand Rapids, MI, for the last 5 years and is the District Water and Sanitation Coordinator.
He left the Army in 1962 as a First Lieutenant in the Anti Aircraft Artillery (Nike) with a brand new son and shortly joined Nalco Chemical. With Nalco he was a production manager in the Clearing Industrial District Plant in Chicago, 10 years in the Sugar Land, Texas plant, 2 years in their Pacific Division at Singapore. The Last 5 years, prior to his retirement, he was the Division Engineering Manager in Naperville.
Jim enjoys the diverse cultures he has had the opportunity to meet and be a friend and feels that that opportunity has served him well throughout his career and continues to be an asset in Rotary.
Jim and his wife Nancy live at Lake Holiday and have four grown children and five grandchildren.
Jim has served and re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Lake Holiday Property Owners Association.
He enjoys boating, building things and reading.
