Area IV Assistant Governor Linda Giesen

Area IV includes the Rotary Clubs:

Dixon, Rock Falls, Twin Cities Sunrise, Sterling and Walnut

     Linda is serving her first year  as Assistant Governor. She joined the Dixon Rotary Club in 1996 and served as President in 2008-2009. Linda has a law practice in Dixon and Amboy Illinois. Both of her partners are currently on leave from the office as her husband, Henry S. Dixon, is the elected Lee County State’s Attorney and therefore is not in practice during the term he is in office. Her other partner, her stepson, Lt. Col. Henry S. Dixon is presently serving with the National Guard in Afghanistan. Linda’s practice consists primarily of Family Law, Probate, Elder Law, Real Estate, Bankruptcy and Small Business Law.

    Linda obtained her law degree from the University of Iowa. She has a Master’s in Criminology from Indiana State University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Southern Illinois University

   Prior to going to law school, Linda worked for 11+ years with the Illinois Department of Corrections. Her last position was as the Warden of the Dwight Correctional Center. She also has been on the facility of Sauk Valley Community College as the Criminal Justice Faculty and Advisor.

   Linda has three step-children, Kerry (Rick), Lt. Col. Henry S. Dixon (Mary Pat), and Lt. Col. Robert S. Dixon (Sherry). Henry and Linda have on grandchild, Jackson.

   Linda enjoys golfing, skiing, walking, travel and the great outdoors.
