Area III Assistant Governor

Don Griffin

Area III includes the Rotary Clubs:

 Oregon, Kishwaukee Sunrise

Rochelle, and Rock River Valley.

       This is Don’s first year as Assistant Governor. Don has been a member of the Oregon Rotary Club for 4 years. He was president of the Club for 2009/2010 and past president 2010/2011. He was active in the planning of the April 2010 District Conference including the End Polio 5K. Don has been employed by the Oregon Park District for 14 years as Superintendent of Environmental Services, promoting operational and sustainable energy practices for both the Nash Recreation Center and the Blackhawk Center. Don is very active in the Community of Oregon, both as an arm of the Park District and as an individual.  He is treasurer and executive board member of Forward Oregon, promoting community and inter-governmental relationships. He serves on the City of Oregon Economic Development Advisory Committee.

      Don is a former performer and member of the Performing Arts Guild, including past president of the board.  He is also a member of Community Arts Legacy.

     Don is married to Mary Jo, who is also very active in Rotary.  He has four children and 6 grandchildren.
