Area III Assistant Governor Roberta (Bobbi) Burke

Area III includes the Rotary Clubs:

DeKalb, Oregon, Sycamore, Rochelle,

Kishwaukee Sunrise and Rock River Valley.

      Bobbi originally joined the Rochelle Rotary Club in 1988.  She was the third woman to be admitted to the Rochelle Club and the first Rochelle Rotarian to have a baby!  After the birth of her third child in 1991 she took a hiatus from Rotary until her youngest child started school.  She stayed busy during her hiatus by serving as co-chair on a committee to build a community playground in Rochelle.  The playground is called “KidsGround” and Bobbi and her co-chairs received the Rochelle Community Leader Award in 1991

     Bobbi is past president (2008-2009) of the Rochelle Club and has also served as Sergeant at Arms, Fine Master and Song Leader.  She has served on the fund raising committee for several years (remember the Duck Derby?)

    Bobbi lives in Rochelle with her husband Bob and three children Jake (23), Luke (20) and Hannah (18).  Bobbi and her family have hosted two exchange students and the GSE team leader from Brazil in 2009 

    Bobbi is a retired chiropractor who currently works part time as a substitute teacher at Rochelle Township High School and the Rochelle elementary district.
