Area II Assistant Governor Steve Kuhn

Area II includes the Rotary Clubs:

Belvidere, Sycamore, DeKalb and Harvard.

This is Steve’s first year as Assistant Governor. He became a member of the Sycamore Rotary Club in 1997 and served as the club president 2004-2005. He has was on the District Nominating Committee three times, two as chair. He has also served as the chairman of the District Youth Protection Committee. He is the current chairman of District 6420 Vision Facilitation Committee.

      Steve retired from the US Air Force with the rank of Major in 1990. A graduate of the University of Nebraska, he has been a physician assistant for over 35 years and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He has been employed by Kishwaukee Medical Associates, Sycamore since 1990. Steve is a Republican precinct committeeman and the current vice-chair of the DeKalb Country Republican Party. He served on the DeKalb County Board of Health for seven years, the last two as president of the board.

      Steve lives in Sycamore with his wife Jan of 44 years. They have three married children and five grandchildren. Hobbies include bike riding and antiquing. He is hoping to improve his golf game in the seasons to come.
