Area II Assistant Governor Jerrilynne Parlo

Area II includes the Rotary Clubs:

Belvidere, Belvidere Bright Horizons, Harvard and Northern Winnebago Co.

   Jerri is primarily recognized around the district as a Past District Governor’s wife, but her involvement with Rotary goes much beyond that. After observing George’s Rotary work for years, she joined him in 1988 as a member of the Marengo-Union Rotary Club where she served as Secretary and President Elect. In 1992 she became a charter member of the Woodstock Morning Rotary Club. There she became a Paul Harris Fellow and served as Secretary and then their third president. In 1996 Jerri joined her husband at the Harvard Rotary Club and was president in 2002-2003. Jerri and George became Major Donors in 2000. On our district level, Jerri has been the Public Relations Chair and now the World Community Service Chair for three years. This is her third year as Assistant Governor. She has 15 years of perfect attendance.

    Jerri graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1964 with a degree in Business Administration. She held numerous positions in the teaching profession before settling into real estate in 1982. While holding the position of broker manager of a Century 21 office, she became involved with the McHenry County Association of Realtors and served in all elected levels including President of the Association and President of the Women’s Council of Realtors. She was awarded the prestigious Realtor of the Year Award at the Association level. In 1993 Jerri founded and directed a real estate school, authoring and teaching 13 courses for pre-license, broker, and continuing education. In 1997, she retired from the school and opened her own office.

Jerri and George were married in 1962 and have two  daughters, 3 grandchildren and had 3 exchange students.
